Description

The StarLite S1 is a compact and reliable video measurement system that combines fully automatic measurements with manual stage motion. Measure-X® metrology software provides powerful programming capability with an easy-to-use operator interface — programs can be created that guide the operator from one automatic edge measurement to the next.

The system features a fixed-lens IntelliCentric-S optical system and VIRTUAL ZOOM™, delivering high-resolution images. Standard illumination includes substage, coaxial, and SmartRing™ LED lighting, illuminating a wide range of surface types from every angle.

A robust stage and ergonomic controls deliver the accuracy expected from a high-performance metrology system, making the StarLite S1 a reliable and operator-friendly solution for a wide range of measurement tasks.

L is the measured length in millimeters. Accuracy is determined using OGP's compensation and verification procedure. XY accuracy applies with an evenly distributed load up to 5 kg in the standard measuring plane (within 25 mm of the worktable surface).

Software

Measure-X

Measure-X metrology software is the ideal choice for anyone looking for a versatile measurement tool that is easy to use and can handle even demanding shape or contour analysis. Whether you use optics, touch probes, or lasers, this software provides you with accurate results.

Simple Programming – Working in Measure-X is intuitive, and you’ll master it in no time. You can measure and view results in real-time directly in the live video window. The toolbox is logically designed with large, clearly identifiable icons, giving you instant access to all measurement, construction, and analysis functions.

Measure – Simply place the part on the stage, and start measuring with one click. SNAP-X software scans the image and Feature Extracts all discernible features. The results can be viewed with no further action, or the features can be turned into measured steps for a program.

Analyze – Gives users the ability to address more complex GD&T requirements such as profile or true position. The display and reporting capabilities provide both graphical, color coded whiskers of deviation, and GD&T callouts on the part CAD.

Compare – Compare the live video image to the CAD overlay as with an optical comparator, but with much greater resolution. Color coded tolerance bands help to identify if a part is within tolerance.
